Mixed Capitalization Review Worksheet — Grade 3
Practice applying five capitalization rules at once in this Grade 3 worksheet: sentence beginnings, proper nouns, days, months, places, and the pronoun I.
Capitalization may look like a small detail, but it is one of the first signals readers use to understand a sentence. When a student writes a proper noun in lowercase or forgets to capitalize the start of a sentence, the meaning can be harder to follow. This worksheet gives Grade 3 students practice applying several capitalization rules at the same time: sentence beginnings, proper nouns such as names and places, days of the week, months of the year, and the pronoun I. The three sections move from recognizing errors to filling in correctly capitalized words to fully rewriting flawed sentences. Working through all three sections helps students see how these rules work together in real writing.
